<p>Joseph Land’s journey began with a passion for baseball and a dream of playing professionally. Drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers, his path seemed set—until a torn rotator cuff changed everything. Reflecting on that pivotal moment, he often says, “I had a dream to play professional baseball, only to have to find a new dream. And to show you that God has a sense of humor, He put me in the transportation business.”</p>
<p>Joseph shifted his focus and started The Joseph Land Group, Inc., a time-temperature refrigerated transportation and logistics company. From the ground up, he built the business into a $179 million enterprise, operating 23 offices, managing a fleet of 1,500 trucks, and creating jobs for over 2,000 people. Under his leadership, PWC ranked the company as the 8th largest in North America in its sector.</p>
<p>Following a successful exit, Joseph launched JL Capital Group in 1994, headquartered in Charleston, SC. Today, JL Capital’s team of 40+ seasoned professionals leverages decades of experience to invest in and transform founder-led businesses.</p>
